September and the start of SPRING

A very productive month for new works on paper. I’m loving using the technique of intense colour scraped onto a very wet sheet of watercolour paper. I’m getting lots of positive feedback from my instagram account waihibeachart, where I put all my works as they are completed.

This image ‘Estuary Texture’ uses rock salt on the wet pigment to form the texture.

The following piece was a commission that the client was very happy with.

Winter Wonder.

Our art group, Unlimited Palette, will be having their next exhibition at the Carlton Gallery, Katikati, from the 21st September until the 4th October. The exhibition is titled “ Landscapes of our Soul” and the five artists will interpret this in their own medium.

I have just completed a very successful watercolour art class with 3 very enthusiastic people who did some wonderful creative work. If you, or someone you know would like to be involved in my next class please contact me for details.

Ka kite ano.
