Pamela Lines is an abstract, landscape watercolour artist based in Waihi Beach, New Zealand. Her mantra is ‘keep it simple, feel the essence’.
This guides Pamela in her quest to reduce the image to it’s purest form and allows the viewer to interpret and experience the abstract works on an emotional level.
Watercolour is Pamela’s medium of choice because of the versatility and unpredictability of the mix of pigment and water. This unpredictability is the ultimate in ‘letting go’ with no preconceived ideas of what will happen.
The process of creating her work comes through her knowledge of pigment, water-flow and the controlled movement of the board.
