Dubai

If you’re not a patient person waiting in airports is the hardest job ever. But you have a captive audience if you are a sketcher.

It’s more important to get the feel of the pose rather than an exact likeness.
Heads and faces are my biggest challenge when sketching people.

So we arrived in Dubai at 4.30 am their time. It’s been such a long day and I’m going to finish this and have a snooze. But the hotel is attached to a shopping centre so we’ve had a walk around.

I felt a bit self conscious so took this photo to sketch from.
I did it when we got back to the room as I didn’t want to loose the feeling of the building. Outside it was 41degrees and rising.
The view from the hotel dining room window.
A quick sketch of the view. Dubai.

That’s all for now. Tomorrow we get to Dublin.

Our walk on the beach before we departed.
