Belfast

At a place called Monisterboice we saw some very large, very old Celtic crosses. I had to draw one of the two.

Just a quick sketch before we moved on.

Had a walk around the city of Belfast. Even had a moment to sketch in the middle of the city.

The hustle and bustle of Belfast.

Do you know what Belfast is famous for? Especially now they have a museum about it? The Titanic was built here in Belfast in 1912 and in 2018 they opened this building.

A real experience I’m glad we did.

How about this for a patina? Beautiful metal work in the foyer of the Titanic experience.
Does anybody else think this is funny???
Dinner at this tiny restaurant was unique. It was like sitting in someone’s front room. Could have done some amazing still life studies in this space.

Off to bed now. I’m loving all the feedback from all of you. Keep it coming. Pamela.

  2. Those tiles on the new building remind me of the the ones on the new Events Centre in Chch although a different shape. Must be the new Architectural “thing”.

Glad you are enjoying yourselves and getting lots of inspiration.

PS I am the quilter who wanted to paint yellow lichens on grey rocks in your workshop in Miramar last year…..with the American accent.
