Glasgow

When I came to London in 2015 I discovered an art supply shop called Cass art supplies. I put that shop on my list of places to go to in Glasgow. I got what I needed for my residency but I must say that Micheal at Studio art supplies in Auckland has a far wider range of art supplies and Cass is now further down my list of great shops. That’s a thumbs up for you Michael Mitchell 👍

We took the supplies and went to a cafe in a bookstore where again I had a captive audience.
Strange figures both small and large in the book store.
Not much in the way of galleries.

For me the best part of a city like Glasgow is the architecture. Central station has a building within a building. Both structures symbolise an era where architecture shows the affluence of a city.

Central station Glasgow
Kelvin grove Art Gallery and Museum. So many different architectural styles.

Todays little watercolour of Kelvin Grove.

I hope you are still hanging in there peeps. I am loving the feedback, I hope we can both keep up this momentum.

  1. Hi guys Pam, I’ll pass your comments on to Michael. He will be well chuffed! We know Glasgow Central fairly well having arrived and departed Scotland from there. Yes a neat combination of the old and the new. x
