Inverness

What a gorgeous hot sunny day it was today. Fingers crossed it’s going to stay that way. I know, we are in Scotland!!

We felt that the day helped us feel good about Inverness, really positive towards it.

This second hand bookshop in Inverness was overflowing with people and books. Can you see the wood burner in the middle of the shop, and all the chopped wood for burning? I guess it’s used everyday during the winter. ( probably autumn and spring as well. Possibly some days in summer too. But not today!)

We spent several hours wandering around the city centre. Even checked out the graveyard by the church (can’t remember it’s name).

Lots of graves of Jacobite warriors brutally killed by English soldiers.
Cambeth House B&B @ 49 Fairfield Road Inverness. Thought we were staying in a church to start.

The accomodation is gorgeous. Nothing has been spared. I really recommend this property, and walking distance to shops etc.

There is lots of lovely art work in Cambeth House and this is in our bedroom. Artist U Hammond. I love it’s simplicity.

I hope you are all fit and well and thank you for hanging in there and reading my blog everyday. Tomorrow we get to Cromarty and my art has to get serious!!!! Ka kite. Pamela.
