Lazy day in Cromarty

It was a beautiful sunny day and we welcomed Wendy ( our neighbour at Waihi beach) to Cromarty.

Started the day with coffee at the Slaughter House.

It was lovely to show Wendy my creative space at the Stables and drive out to the south Suter and watch the sea coming in to the Cromarty Firth.

The village of Cromarty in the distance.

We made time for a couple of sketches after lunch.

One large oil rig by the harbour wall.
They are towed into the deep water of the Firth for maintenance.
Little fishing boat. I may add colour soon.
Vibrant blues and complementary orange Make a great composition.

Started doing some rubbings ( thanks for the suggestion Margaret) of the cobbles and pathways.

Lots of beautiful textures.
Lots of colour out along the streets.

That’s all from me. Pamela.
