Montefalco at Leisure

After our morning coffee and cornet we drove to Carapace a beautiful architectural building which houses the cellars of Tenuta Castlebuono (Ferrari family).

Didn’t do a wine tasting but enjoyed the stunning interior.

The grounds of the winery had stunning sculptures. This one by local artist, Alison Ryde.

Alison’s sculpture.
This stunning sculpture can be seen for miles. Both sculptures on a lean. 😂

On to the beautiful village of Bevanga. Had intended to visit the exhibition of Paolo Massei in Bevanga but it was still siesta and it was closed.

Through the bars of the closed space.
Took a photo through the bars. A stunning exhibition space of Paolo’s bronze sculptures.

We found a quiet cool spot to sit and sketched another bronze sculpture ‘Res Sacre‘ by Andrea Roggi. 2022

The Roman aqueduct at Bevanga, having a bit of a dry period.
Municipal building. Montefalco.

Back sitting in the piazza sketching one of the beautiful buildings.

Drinks and pizza with Wendy’s friends David and Alison Ryde. (Alison, the artist who did the large sculpture.)

Lots of eating and looking at art today. Perfect.

Ciao. Pamela
