Ibrahim is our guide today. Just him and us taking us around the Egyptian Museum and the pyramids. We were very privileged to have him as he is an Egyptologist with a MA in Egyptian Antiquities. So knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all things Egyptian. He was continually laughing, talking and saying “isn’t this a miracle. So amazing and magical.“ His enthusiasm was very infectious.

The Museum of Egyptology.
There are over 1M exhibits so Ibrahim did just the highlights for us. Such a good idea because even that caused information overload.

Basically there are 3 main pyramids at Giza all dating back to earlier than 4000 BC.
1st one has only a tiny little statue of this Pharaoh. So small I can’t find it on my photos. Anyway this purpose was to unite the North of the country with the South.
2nd Pyramid was built by his son.

So much information in the museum that I’m not going to go into it all here. You’ll just have to check it out yourself.

Us with Ibrahim at the pyramids. 1, 2, and3.

No they weren’t put there by aliens either. Stupid idea.

You should try riding a camel. wonderful experience. Much more pleasant than a horse. Very steady.
I’ve done it twice about 35 years apart and would do it again if I had the chance.

I’m not sure we should discredit the alien idea so quickly… those pyramids look kind of suspicious to me
