July went so quickly and now we are into August.
My abstract watercolour workshop for the Tauranga Society of Artists was very successful and lots of fun.

On December 14th I am taking another similar workshop for those who missed out this time.
Waihi Plein air artists met at Bowentown and painted.

Our next Plein air catch up will be this Friday 9th August. We are going to paint the old Waihi Museum between 10 and 11.30, when we usually go for coffee. If you are in the area join us.
I met with the Tauranga Urban sketchers on the 9th July, at the Mt Maunganui Marina. Lots of boats to sketch.

I have just finished being one of the judges for Watercolour NZ’s online winter competition. Phew what a task!!! Soooo many really good works of art from artists all over New Zealand. With lots of consultation with the other judge we were able to agree on prize winners. Whew!
All good experience for when I am one of the judges at the national exhibition SPLASH for Watercolour NZ in October. At the Pataka Performing Arts Studio @ Pataka Art & Museum Porirua. The exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday 19th to Monday 28th October 2024. As guest artist I will be displaying several works and doing a demonstration of my technique.

At Palmers Garden Centre in Bethlehem, just outside Tauranga, I will be exhibiting and demonstrating, on the weekend 17th and 18th August 2024. This is promoting the Garden and Art Festival to be held in November. So those people stocking up on products for spring gardening can take home a piece of art work as well. Come and say Hi. I’ll be the only artist there that weekend I think, so shouldn’t be hard to find in amongst the foliage.
I’ve really been busy painting this last month. I want to share a few with you. As always, get back to me if one of them talks to you and wants to live at your house!!

Thanks for your continued support.
Be in touch next month. Pamela.

Hello Cuz,
Your work is wonderful and inspiring. I’m even pondering if I could try watercolour painting without your expertise? I’m also wondering where I would get the paint brush that has the water as well. OMGoodness, action is the next step after contemplation.
Warmest hugs to you and Ken,
Robyn D
