Moving into March

Welcome followers of my blog. If you have just joined over the last month send me a response so I know you are there. I hope my monthly blog inspires and lets you keep up with where I am and where I’m going!

The only larger work done in February

What I did enjoy doing was lots of little postcard size paintings. For some reason they really work. Just wish I could do them bigger with the same effect.

These are just a few of my postcard paintings.

Urban Sketchers Tauranga went the Papamoa Plaza to sketch. It made me realise you can sketch ANYTHING! Even a car park.

Waihi Plein Air painters met at the Athenree Reserve. The tide was in and the sun was shining.

I have recently been included as an artist at the newly opened Matakana Gallery in Katikati. This gallery has moved from Matakana in Northland and now gracing us with their expertise. A beautiful space on the main road south of Katikati. I’m delighted to report that they have sold one of my paintings within a week of joining them. May this partnership continue in this profitable vein.

Last weekend we travelled south in our van, to the shores of Lake Taupō. One night we spent on farmland with the strength of the Waikato river running past. Such beauty and mana in this water.

Reflections in the mighty Waikato.

Sitting by the side of the river as the sun went down I couldn’t not capture the moment.

Well that’s a wrap. Talk next month. If there is ever any questions or information you require please let me know. I love feedback.

Ka kite.
