Something September

Kia Ora to all my followers. Following on from last month, the Pukekohe exhibition Frankley Small, was a great exhibition of works under 300mm. There was a smaller space this year but it was full of many works of art of all genres. Lots of red dots, and happy to report that one of them was with my work.

This little watercolour now has a new home.

The Ngatea Gallery was a great space to exhibit. My work is back home from there now and I am looking towards my next event, the Tauranga Art Expo.

4 days of exhibiting art.

This is the biggest art expo in the Bay of Plenty and well worth a visit if you are in Tauranga over this time. Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th September.

I am currently represented at the Waihi Beach Gallery, which has had a move around of stock, and now looking light and bright.

Also Matakana Gallery at Katikati, in a wonderful large open space.

On the weekend 13th and 14th September I am taking a watercolour Workshop in Rotorua for the Geyserland Art Group. Always a great workshop with fantastic people. Looking forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones.

Early next month I take work to Stratford for the Watercolour NZ national exhibition SPLASH. This is a call out to all my Taranaki friends and Whanau, as well as my collectors, that this is the biggest watercolour exhibition in New Zealand and along with some of my work, work from all over the country will be there for you. Spread the word. Great for Stratford and Taranaki.

Stunning work by Deb Clarke who will be the guest artist.

For the next few weeks I’m going to concentrate my sketching around the beach. What makes this place special? What are the places that make Waihi Beach unique?

Looking along 2 Mile Creek.

The first is done. I have some ideas for future ones. 🤔

In my studio I painted a wave.

Wave 1.

Then another wave.

Wave 2

Then another one.

Wave 3.

I’m not doing anymore waves for awhile.

Here’s a painting I ended the month on.

Reflections and Ripples.

That’s a roundup of my month. Thank you all for taking the time to follow my journey. As always, love the feedback.

Ciao

Pamela.
