December and the end of the year.

Hi to all my followers.

Reflecting on November feels like a bit of a whirlwind.

Lots of opportunities for painting plein air.

I enjoyed being with other artists, out and about in Taranaki with opportunities to sketch and paint. Conversation and meals together was a wonderful time. At the end of this period the SPLASH exhibition was over and all unsold works taken home.

Stratford and their iconic tower. ( it’s not really leaning)

Then it was home to preparation for the Open Studios event. What an amazing 3 days.

Lots of people visiting my studio
3 days of wonderful conversations with wonderful people.
And enthusiastic buyers included.

It really is a buzz for me when an admirer of my work says that a painting is “talking to me”. That is special.

Contributors to my artist trading card collection

Along with the Artist Trading Cards I had advertised that I would do a demonstration each day at 1pm.

Demonstration of my technique.

On day 1 I had one guest. Day 2 there were 2 and on day 3 I made the total of 9 people watching my demonstration. All with good feedback.

That’s a wrap for my season!!! I am now going to have a couple of weeks of end of year functions and get togethers and enjoy Christmas with my family.

Merry Christmas to you all and a peaceful holiday time to relax and recharge the batteries. I wish you well for 2026.

Pamela.
