We’ve been home for a couple of weeks. Settled back into the routine of art, coffee and everything in between.

Creative communities luncheon.

Like the 6 monthly luncheon for local creatives. This time at our local Flat White cafe at Waihi Beach. A wonderful opportunity to connect with other artists and I so look forward to it every 6 months.

Creative communities also provide workshops for artists and I am attending their next session on how to ‘Simplify Your Social Media’. Easy ways to incorporate social media so it’s not such a biggy but rather, just part of the social practice. Hmmm 🤔

Here’s a shout out for Jane at the new Matakana Gallery in Katikati. I recommend you visit this amazing space and support Jane in her new venture. It’s tough out there in the world of retail and in galleries but her space has some renowned nationally recognised artists. Well worth a visit.

I know I said I was coming home to paint big but I haven’t yet. Instead I found some photos that needed to be sketched and now I can share them.

Another Mansion. New Orleans.
Street car. New Orleans
Starting to get bored with waiting for planes.
Even a chair is good to practice drawing.

Hopefully I’ll be able to show some paintings next month.

  1. Such beautiful little sketches Pam. We are just about at the end of our 10 week trip to Europe. Many photos which will lend themselves to some watercolour sketches which I hope to do!
